SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Powerful "magnetic" grid acts as a guide for all drawing with the mouse, making it more accurate than the screen resolution at any zoom factor
  • Each object may be drawn using different grids, enabling simple construction of forms with several areas of different spacing (for example, one area on 1/6" x 1/10" and another on 1/8" x 1/8" grids)
  • Fill style may be defined and applied to any number of objects. Styles include flat tint, linear, radial, and rectangular graduations, blockouts, and a special postscript fill that can be used for pantographs and user defined effects. Lines, box frames and interiors, and elliptical frames and interiors may all be filled.
  • EPS logos defined as a mask may have fills applied to their interior, making the creation of phantoms a very simple procedure
  • Screening frequencies, angles, and spot functions are defined along with the area fills, allowing multiple screen styles within the same form
  • Forms can be separated to create artwork for either spot color or four color process, including any EPS graphics that are present
  • Output can be distorted in both horizontal and vertical for the production of flexographic plates
  • EPS logos may be imported in full color. The colors contained in the imported logos are automatically added to the current color palette and may then be part of any fills or text styles
  • Although objects snap to the grid, they may be displaced or resized in any measurement unit fraction or decimal fraction (a box that is on a 1/6" x 1/10" grid may be moved in any direction by 1/64", 1 mm, 1 pt, 1/1000% 0.5 in, 0.2598 cm or any other Value in units of your choice). When a form comes back from proof and an element needs to be moved or resized by 1/32 in, simply select the piece and tell the software +1/32 in.; it will calculate how far to move the item with accuracy greater than 1/1,000,000 inch!
  • The integrated text editor covers all basic typographical requirements. Kerning, tracking, tabs, and different line feeds allow for rapid placement of text. Also, text can be rotated in one degree increments. The Adobe Type ManagerTM program is used for displaying fonts on the screen
