When you download the file, FormsDesigner 2.8.2.hqx, it should automatically "unstuff" and you will find the files in a folder called FormsDesigner 2.8.2.
Place the FormsDesigner 2.8.2 folder in a convenient location on your hard drive.

Within the FormsDesigner 2.8.2 folder will be a folder called Latest FD and a second folder called ATM.

Open the folder ATM. Drag and drop the ATM icon onto your system folder and the Finder will install it into the Extensions.
Drag and drop all of the Font icons onto your System folder and let the Finder install them.
Note: If you are running OS X, the fonts and ATM must be dropped onto the System folder of OS 9+ that is running during Classic mode. FormsDesigner™ v2.8.2 is not native to OS X and must run in Classic mode.

Open the folder Latest FD and double click on the FormsDesigner™ v2.8.2 application. The application will start and a dialog will open presenting you with a challenge code. Until you register, the application will run only in Demonstration Mode and will not permit you to save files or print clean copy.
You must come back to this web site and register to receive an "unlock" code.

When you enter the unlock code,
FormsDesigner™ v2.8.2 will run as a full-featured application.

Errors
* If you get the message, “Your computer lacks the required hardware or system software to run the application,” your computer is not running the correct version of Adobe Type Manager (ATM). You must install ATM before continuing. You can do so by dropping the ATM icon supplied with FormsDesigner™ v2.8.2 on your System Folder and then restarting your computer (See #3, above).
* If you are unable to see text when using the Text Tool, your system is using TrueType fonts instead of the supplied PostScript fonts. For the text editor to work properly, you will need to remove the TrueType fonts from the Font folder in the System folder. We suggest you make a copy of the original Font folder and place it outside of the System folder as a backup before you delete all of the TrueType fonts.
